Images of the Week

I love Thomas Kinkade paintings and it was tough picking just one landscape for this week's assignment, so I am putting other Kinkade images here to share the beauty of his work.

February 25 week pictures

I was walking last week and this street art caught my attention. The picture is a sailor kissing a nurse during war time representing the importance of love even at the darkest moments. This picture can be found in New York City.

I took this picture in my winter break. It is a river I visited with my family in downtown Vail, CO. This picture shows the beauty of the nature that we not get to see in New York.

These are two of my favorite images that I have used for work.

Blog for week of 2/18 to 2/25

This image of the sun rising in glorious Epcot is because I ran a 5K this weekend. This image helped me get through the run. Watching the sunrise in one the happiest places on earth, Disney, helped me stay motivated and positive while running. This gave me a feeling of how lucky I am to have been able to participate in this run. I did not want to the experience to stop because it was so amazing!

This past weekend I was able to take a trip to Disney World, The Happiest Place on Earth! The castle symbolizes how Dreams Come True and that anything is possible. Disney makes you feel like a kid again. It truly makes me happy and the castle radiates the happiness and joy Disney brings to millions of people.

I love this image so much because it's my favorite place in Venezuela. This place is known as Los Roques. Is an archipelago, a collection of island, located in the Caribbean sea very famous because of its beautiful clear waters.

I love puppies, specially Schnauzers. I have two Schnauzers, Petunia and Lola and are the best dogs ever!

Colleen Image Bank Post 1

I've been interning at PetPlus and we are always looking for content inspiration from other sources and this is one picture I looked at to gain insight for our new content strategy. I like how this picture includes text overlay without taking focus away from the main image.

Because I am a Supernatural addict.

2/11 - 2/18

I was eating dinner and my two pups were staring intensely. It was photography gold, so I just had to snap a picture. No human food for them though.

2/11-2/18 Image Bank.

The glass ceiling of Fulton Center is the best thing about that station, especially with the right lighting.
The view is always different depending on where you stand, leading to an entirely new experience.
The mixture of rigid straight lines with the curved glass don't clash but really build to a unique view.
We forget to look up too much.

This is a quick sketch by a comic illustrator done with pastel.
The gesture is clear and emotional, despite its simplicity.
It's not overworked, overcomplicated, it's just right.

Color intimidates artist, and people in general.
The color combination on this wall is bright and fun,  and balanced by its sporadic pattern.
This city could use a bit of this.

All of these three pictures are of the same thing. It is a layered piece made with multiple sheets of glass as you can see below. Each piece of  glass serves as a layer and when they are all stacked together it creates what's show above. The last picture is what it looks like close up. Pioneer Works where these are made had so many of them and we were actually able to watch them being made which was really cool. They all resembled person.

Week of 2/11 to 2/18 Blog Post

Over Christmas Break my intermediate family, as well as my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins go to New York City to see the tree and have dinner. When we were by Bryant Park my cousin captured this beautiful photo of New York City. This made me reflect how lucky I am and we are to be able to call this incredible city our home.

This photo I came across on Facebook and I had to screenshot it. I love pandas and this image shows them helping each other to get up on the branch of wood. It shows how all creatures have the same instincts to assist one another and be there for each other.

My Picture Blog

I did not think that I will see 3 images within 2 days that I would really like to share, but here they are!
The first image is a microscope photograph of myelin sheath that protect our neuron axons, which are a tiny bit like our body's internal ethernet wiring. This might not seem interesting to everyone, but I find this type of images absolutely fascinating!

The second image is a photograph by a Lithuanian photographer. This is a small part of endless miles of beautiful white sand beaches that my country has...This image brought me back a lot of memories from my childhood.

The third image it's something I came across while scrolling down Facebook. This amazing person creates these tiny handcrafts and I just thought everyone must see this!

The following 3 images I decided to pick accordingly to my love and passion for dance:
Before I could even walk my grandma started showing me videos tapes of different dance performances. By the time I was 3 years old I performed on stage...and so I continued dancing throughout my life, but my basics were in ballet.
Then, as I got older I wished to try new forms of dancing. And so I did! I started exploring ballroom dancing and modern dance styles. At the age of 16, I found my other passion in dance - Hip Hop.

Lastly, my latest obsession has been pole dancing! And I have to say it is much much harder than it looks, and if you manage to overlook its history, I suggest you look into pole art performances.

For this week I would like to share my love for animals with you...Ever since I was little I wanted to hug every puppy, to feed every kitten, and to find a way to communicate with every parrot. Although, I might have never succeeded to learn a bird language this photograph proves that friends can become anybody...

There is actually a whole photo album of this unusual pair and it's quite fascinating! This next image also represents friendship, playfulness, and childhood (even though I am absolutely terrified of squirrels, from afar they are almost adorable).
Last image is of a white tiger (baby) - an animal that always carries such great dignity with itself, and an animal I secretly wish to befriend.
I know it's quite impossible, but don't you wish to just hug him?

I realized I never posted during the break...I got a bit confused with the dates and whether or not I should post, but I did come across some great images, therefore, I'm posting for two weeks in a row.

I will start with this amazing photographer, who just took cat photography to another level.

And I will finish of with these entertaining pictures! What sort of amazing people thought of this? It's absolutely great!!!

Who doesn't love a flying dog?

So I found a photographer, who did a whole photoshoot of people with extremely frozen hair, and it looks amazing!

These photos remind me of the ski trips I used to go on with my mom every year. We would always visit a local pool, which often would have one outdoors pool that was heated (the heads would still be sticking out in the cold tho!). We did not look this crazy, but at least I definitely felt like these people in the photographs.

When I start creating my family and having kids someone PLEASE remind me to do this!!!

So...at the end of the semester we, as a class, should totally take some photos like this...Just thought they were awesome:)

And this bottom one is just for my love for workout...It also looks incredible!

Because Mother's Day is around the corner...

Mother love shapes cultures and individuals. While most mothers know that their love and emotional availability are vital to their children's well-being, many of us do not understand the profound and long-lasting impact we have in developing our young children's brains, teaching them first lessons of love, shaping their consciences …

“She is the creature of life, the giver of life, and the giver of abundant love, care and protection. Such are the great qualities of a mother. The bond between a mother and her child is the only real and purest bond in the world, the only true love we can ever find in our lifetime.”
― Ama H.Vanniarachchy

“And I realized when you look at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know.”
― Mitch AlbomFor One More Day

So Hey There!!!!

I can't believe the semester is over and that...

So I just wanted to wish everyone best of luck!!!

I will miss you all!!!
